DillDrill Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DillDrill website, application, features, content, reports, submissions, share tools, research-access flows, and related materials (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Operator
The Service is made available by the DillDrill Team (“DillDrill,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
2. Nature of the Service
DillDrill is a location-based research project designed to help users explore construction activity signals for a given location, together with certain auxiliary information such as community-generated demand indicators and user-submitted reports.
The Service may include:
- location input using Google Maps links, coordinates, place references, or similar location identifiers;
- a construction activity rating, score, or summary;
- demand or popularity indicators derived from DillDrill user activity;
- a report submission flow through which users can submit observations;
- a share flow through which users can share the Service or location-related content;
- research-access controls, usage limits, preview-mode features, temporary expanded access features, or join flows;
- contact, collaboration, and inquiry channels.
The Service is made available as a research and informational tool only. It is not an official registry, government system, inspection service, engineering service, legal service, real-estate due diligence service, or professional advisory service.
3. Research and Preview Status
The Service is currently provided in research, experimental, preview, pilot, or beta mode.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- the Service is in ongoing development;
- the Service may contain bugs, errors, inaccuracies, outdated information, incomplete datasets, broken features, false positives, false negatives, or misleading outputs;
- results may vary by location, timing, data availability, sample size, user behavior, technical limitations, and system changes;
- the Service may be modified, suspended, restricted, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice;
- no uptime commitment, continuity commitment, or support guarantee is provided.
4. No Guarantee of Accuracy
DillDrill does not guarantee that any construction activity rating, location insight, demand signal, report, score, label, or output is accurate, complete, current, unbiased, or fit for any particular purpose.
In particular:
- a location may be rated too high, too low, or incorrectly;
- construction activity may exist even if not reflected in the Service;
- the Service may indicate activity where there is little or none;
- changes on the ground may occur faster than the Service updates;
- user-generated reports may be incomplete, mistaken, subjective, stale, manipulated, or fraudulent.
You remain solely responsible for your own decisions, including any renting, buying, relocation, travel, investment, business, or lifestyle decision based in whole or in part on the Service.
5. Location Inputs and Third-Party Mapping
The Service may allow you to input a location using:
- a Google Maps link;
- coordinates;
- a copied map reference;
- a place name or address;
- other compatible formats.
You are responsible for ensuring that the location you submit is the location you intend to evaluate.
DillDrill does not control Google Maps or other third-party mapping services and is not responsible for:
- map inaccuracies;
- address mismatches;
- geocoding errors;
- place-name ambiguity;
- third-party outages;
- changes made by any third-party mapping provider.
Your use of any third-party mapping service remains subject to that third party’s own terms and policies.
6. Construction Activity Ratings
The core output of the Service is a location-based construction activity signal, rating, score, summary, or similar expression.
You understand that this output is:
- informational only;
- probabilistic, inferential, estimated, heuristic, or model-driven;
- not a certification, warranty, inspection, or official government statement;
- not a substitute for visiting a location, speaking with local residents, checking local permits, consulting professionals, or performing independent verification.
7. Demand and Popularity Indicators
The Service may display a demand, popularity, or similar signal.
Unless DillDrill expressly states otherwise, such indicators are derived from activity by DillDrill users only, such as searches, interactions, engagement patterns, or similar internal usage signals.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- such indicators are limited to the DillDrill user base and do not represent the full market;
- the sample may be relatively small, geographically narrow, early-stage, or non-representative;
- the indicator is intended to reflect internal DillDrill activity according to DillDrill’s measurement methods;
- DillDrill does not represent that any demand indicator reflects actual market demand, rental demand, purchase demand, tourism demand, or broader population interest.
8. User Reports and Submissions
The Service may allow users to submit reports, observations, comments, or other content about a location (“User Reports”).
By submitting a User Report, you represent and warrant that:
- the submission is truthful to the best of your knowledge;
- you have the right to submit it;
- it does not violate any law or third-party rights;
- it is not defamatory, abusive, fraudulent, misleading, harassing, obscene, or unlawful;
- it does not contain malware, spam, or unauthorized promotional content.
DillDrill may, but is not required to:
- review, screen, moderate, reject, remove, edit, delay, de-rank, or retain User Reports;
- investigate suspicious or abusive submissions;
- suspend access for misuse;
- use automated or manual review to assess submission quality or abuse risk.
DillDrill does not endorse User Reports and is not responsible for user-submitted content.
9. License to Submitted Content
By submitting a User Report or other content through the Service, you grant DillDrill a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, analyze, adapt, modify, publish, display, aggregate, and use that content for purposes of operating, improving, testing, securing, analyzing, documenting, and presenting the Service, subject to applicable law and the DillDrill Privacy Policy.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or in violation of any applicable law;
- reverse engineer, scrape, copy, resell, or systematically extract the Service or its outputs except as expressly permitted;
- interfere with security, rate limits, authentication, anti-abuse systems, or technical protections;
- submit false, manipulative, spammy, or coordinated reports;
- impersonate others or provide false identity or contact information;
- use bots or automation in a way that burdens or abuses the Service;
- attempt to discover non-public data, code, or infrastructure;
- use the Service to harass, defame, stalk, or target any person, property owner, tenant, or organization.
11. Research Access Features
The Service may include research-access controls, usage limits, preview-mode features, temporary expanded access features, join flows, or similar mechanisms designed to manage testing quality, project stability, user experience, or abuse prevention.
DillDrill may provide certain users with temporary or expanded research access for evaluation, testing, anti-abuse management, or other project purposes. Such access may be limited in duration, may expire automatically, and may be modified, restricted, or withdrawn at any time.
Use of any expanded or temporary research-access feature does not create any guarantee regarding:
- correctness of results;
- uninterrupted availability;
- continued eligibility;
- availability in all locations;
- suitability for a user’s personal or professional purpose.
12. Intent-Measurement and Access Simulation
The Service may include interfaces, prompts, or flows designed to study user interest in joining expanded research access, additional features, or future project directions.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- certain join flows may simulate or approximate a future access-request or access-selection experience;
- such flows may be used to measure user interest, interaction patterns, or research participation intent;
- participation in such flows does not create any right to continued or expanded access;
- unless expressly stated otherwise, no payment is requested or collected through these research-access simulation flows.
13. Share Flow
The Service may allow users to share DillDrill, links, locations, screenshots, or generated messages.
You are solely responsible for what you share and with whom you share it.
DillDrill is not responsible for:
- the content, consequences, or recipients of your shares;
- any third-party platform terms or restrictions;
- how shared content is interpreted, reposted, or reused by others.
14. Collaborations and Inquiries
DillDrill may provide channels for:
- collaboration requests;
- research inquiries;
- press inquiries;
- technical or project inquiries.
Submission of an inquiry does not create any partnership, agency, exclusivity, joint venture, employment, advisory, or contractual relationship unless DillDrill expressly agrees in a separate written agreement signed by an authorized representative.
15. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, interface, branding, design, text, graphics, scoring logic, arrangement of content, and non-user-generated materials, is owned by DillDrill or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, decompile, or create derivative works from the Service except as allowed by law or with DillDrill’s prior written permission.
16. Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or improvement proposals, DillDrill may use them without restriction or compensation to you, unless prohibited by law.
17. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also subject to the DillDrill Privacy Policy.

- modify features or interfaces;
- impose or change usage limits;
- add, remove, or relabel features;
- suspend or disable access;
- investigate misuse;
- change eligibility rules;

Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
19. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
DillDrill disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, or that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DillDrill and its affiliates, operators, contributors, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, data, housing choice, relocation expense, or decision-making harm arising out of or related to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of DillDrill for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed fifty U.S. dollars (US $50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
